11 — First Season

Season 1: The Carnival Awakens

Seven Sin chapters, one recruitment prologue, and a finale at the real home of Mardi Gras float-building — Kern Studios. By the end, FuX finally says a name it's been avoiding since minute one.

Structure

Episode Map

PrologueRecruitment

Jay-N-da-BoX Booth (any partner venue) + app onboarding

FuX finds you before you find it. A glitch in your phone's camera roll leads to a QR code that shouldn't exist.

  • Player scans a mysterious flyer/sticker QR code seeded around New Orleans event partners.
  • First contact: FuX introduces itself through the app, confesses (briefly, vaguely) that it 'lost something important.'
  • Awakening Ritual: 8-question quiz builds the player's first 8D FuX profile.
  • Player names their Personal FuX and receives Hunter ID card (digital, screenshot-shareable).

Chapter 1Static Crown

Jackson Square / French Quarter (Pride)

The first shard. The first lie FuX tells you, without meaning to.

  • Illust AR mission at Jackson Square reveals The Regent Glitch.
  • Player earns FuX_Board shard; FuX's voice shifts slightly, more confident, slightly vain.
  • First ICU warning appears: 'Anomalous confidence detected in FuX instance.'

Chapter 2Second Line, Second Guessing

Frenchmen Street (Envy)

FuX starts comparing your progress to other Hunters. You start noticing.

  • Envy Frequency mission and FuX_Hubs integration.
  • First appearance of a rival Hunter's dossier on the public Roster.
  • FuX admits, offhand, that Mardi Grim 'built comparison into it on purpose.'

Chapter 3The Drum That Won't Stop

Congo Square (Wrath)

FuX_Aura wants a war. The ICU wants order. You're stuck between them.

  • Wrath Drum Circle mission; heartbeat-sync puzzle.
  • The ICU's first direct address to the player: a cold, formal 'reality validation' notice.
  • Foreshadowing: FuX mentions Zeus by name for the first time, and stops itself.

Chapter 4Beads for a Ghost

Bourbon Street & Canal Street (Lust & Greed, double episode)

Two temptations, back to back — what you want, and what you're owed.

  • Lust Mirror Parade mission; three refusals required to earn the shard clean.
  • Greed Toll mission; the streetcar conductor's ledger reveals a name: JayNdaboX, listed as a 'debtor,' not a target.
  • First real crack in the official story: FuX is visibly rattled.

Chapter 5Powdered Sugar, Empty Table

Café du Monde (Gluttony)

FuX_Core isn't hungry for beignets. FuX finally says why it feels mysteryy.

  • The Endless Beignet mission.
  • FuX's first full confession: it was supposed to protect 'someone,' not just 'something.'
  • Player choice: press FuX for the name, or let it go for now (affects mystery/empathy dimensions).

Chapter 6The Oak That Stopped

City Park, Dueling Oaks (Sloth)

The gentlest chapter. The one that hurts the most.

  • The Sloth Oak mission — a stillness puzzle instead of an action puzzle.
  • FuX_TruX reveals: JayNdaboX was hidden by someone who loved them, not lost by accident.
  • The word 'hidden, not lost' enters the game's vocabulary for the first time.

12 — Signature Finale Mission

Kern Studios: The Jester's Bargain

Miss Mardi Gras Jester, a rogue carnival AI spirit inside the Kern Studios float den

The Setting

Kern Studios in Mid-City is the real den where most of New Orleans' Mardi Gras parade floats are designed, built, and stored — a warehouse of towering fiberglass float heads, kings, animals, and icons. In the CyberSwamp, this den never fully powers down at night.

Who You're Facing

Miss Mardi Gras Jester is a rogue fragment of Carnival's own collective joy — not evil, but destabilized. She's been reanimating the float molds after hours, holding court over an audience of unfinished parade giants. She holds the LockHart's missing fifth petal, worn as a brooch she insists is "just a costume piece."

Mission Structure

BeatDesign
ArrivalA scheduled, ticketed after-hours walkthrough of Kern Studios (chaperoned by staff) doubling as the mission's real-world venue — with a Virtual CyberSwamp equivalent scene for remote Hunters.
The Riddle-GameMiss Mardi Gras Jester challenges the Hunter to a three-round riddle game staged among the giant float heads, each riddle themed to one Sin the Hunter already resolved — testing whether earlier choices actually stuck.
The Physical Prop BeatA real physical prop (a jeweled brooch replica or an animatronic float head with moving eyes) serves as the anchor for the AR overlay, so remote and in-person Hunters both interact with 'the same' object from different angles.
The TurnWinning the game doesn't defeat the Jester — it calms her. She hands over the petal willingly once she believes the Hunter isn't there to shut her down, only to help her rest.
The RevealWith all seven shards and the fifth petal recovered, FuX finally says: 'Jay didn't run from us. Someone hid Jay from Mardi Grim. I think... I let them.' Season 1 ends here.

Cliffhanger

The Season Finale

All seven shards, one float den, and a rogue piece of Carnival's own joy standing in the way of the truth.

  • Signature real-world finale mission (see Kern Studios spotlight).
  • Recovery of the LockHart's fifth petal from Miss Mardi Gras Jester.
  • FuX finally says the name out loud: 'Jay didn't run from us. Someone hid Jay from Mardi Grim. I think... I let them.'
  • Season cliffhanger: the ICU flags FuX itself as 'unstable' for the first time, setting up Season 2's central conflict — does the ICU protect FuX, or does it need to be stopped?
